The Lenovo 7XC7A05525 is a dual-port 10GBASE-T PCIe adapter powered by the Broadcom BCM57416 controller. It allows data centers to deploy 10Gbps networking using standard twisted-pair copper infrastructure (Cat6/Cat6A) without requiring optical transceivers or twinaxial cables. It supports auto-negotiation between 1GbE and 10GbE, along with hardware RoCE v2 RDMA offloads.

Compatibility

Compatible with Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650, SR630, SR850, ST550, SR650 V2, and SR630 V2 servers. It connects via standard Cat6 cabling up to 55m and Cat6A up to 100m. Because 10GBASE-T PHYs consume more power and dissipate more heat than optical cards, adequate chassis airflow must be maintained.
