The Lenovo 7Y37A01089 is a 16-port internal 12Gb SAS/SATA Host Bus Adapter powered by the Broadcom SAS3416 IOC. Built for dense storage enclosures and Software-Defined Storage infrastructures, it supports up to 16 direct-attached SAS/SATA drives over a high-bandwidth PCIe 3.0 x8 interface. It operates in pure HBA mode, delivering raw device access with exceptionally low command latency.

Compatibility

Compatible with Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650, SR630, SR850, and ST550 platforms supporting dual 8-drive backplane configurations. It features four internal SFF-8643 connectors. It is non-RAID by design and does not feature hardware cache memory or RAID volume protection, making it ideal for ZFS, vSAN, and Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct.
