HPE Synergy D3940
The HPE Synergy D3940 Storage Module is a direct attached storage module with 40 SFF drive bays that fits a Synergy 12000 frame. Through the Synergy 12Gb SAS Connection Module it gives composable storage to up to 10 compute modules in a single frame. It accepts SAS and SATA HDD and SSD Smart Drives, and different drive types can be mixed in one module. It is used either as a direct attached array or as the disk layer for software defined storage.
