Lenovo ThinkSystem DE4000H
The ThinkSystem DE4000H is a midrange hybrid storage array engineered for demanding transactional workloads, backup consolidations, and streaming media. Operating on SANtricity OS, the system provides dual active-active controllers with 16GB cache per controller (32GB total) and scales up to 192 drives using 2U or dense 4U60 expansion enclosures. It supports versatile host connectivity including 16Gb or 32Gb Fibre Channel, 10Gb or 25Gb iSCSI, and 12Gb SAS. When acquiring second-hand units, administrators should ensure both controller battery modules are healthy, confirm matched host interface cards are installed, and check that drive caddies contain valid SAS interposers.
