The Brocade X6-4 is the midsize Gen 6 Fibre Channel director, an 8U chassis with four horizontal port or extension blade slots, up to 256 ports of 32 Gb/s and 16 ICL ports. It takes the same FC32-48, FC32-64 and SX6 blades as the X6-8, plus the CR32-4 core routing blades. It competes with the Cisco MDS 9706 in smaller SAN cores.
