The Brocade X6-8 is the larger of the two Gen 6 Fibre Channel directors, a 14U chassis that takes up to eight port or extension blades and scales to 512 ports of 32 Gb/s plus 32 ICL ports. It is sold with FC32-48 and FC32-64 port blades, the SX6 extension blade and core routing blades. It competes with the Cisco MDS 9710 and 9718 in large SAN cores.
