About the Q0L14A

Q0L14A (StoreFabric SN1600E) is HPE's dual-port Gen 6 32Gb Fibre Channel host bus adapter for ProLiant Gen10 and Gen11 rack servers, built on the Broadcom Emulex LPe32002 ASIC. Designed for mission-critical enterprise database workloads and storage-area networks, it provides up to 3.2 million IOPS and line-rate 32Gb/s performance per port, with concurrent SCSI and NVMe/FC protocol support.

Compatibility

Certified for HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10, DL380 Gen10 Plus, DL380 Gen11, DL360 Gen10, and DL360 Gen11 servers. Installs into any PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 x8 or x16 slot. Supports redundant dual-fabric A/B SAN configurations and connects to HPE StoreFabric SN3600B, SN6600B, and SN6700B switches as well as Cisco MDS directors.

How to identify a genuine unit

The low-profile card displays two SFP+ optical cages, a silver aluminum passive heatsink, and an HPE label listing option part number Q0L14A, spare part number 870062-001, and assembly 853006-001. In HPE iLO, UEFI, and operating system diagnostics, it identifies under HPE subsystem vendor ID 103C.

Buying used

Inspect the two SFP+ cages for damaged pins or dust contamination. Verify that the two included optical transceivers are genuine HPE 32Gb short-wave modules. Confirm that the card links up at 32Gb speed in iLO diagnostics and that the WWPN addresses match the factory barcode label.
