The NVIDIA Spectrum SN2010 is a half-width 1U top-of-rack Ethernet switch engineered for hyperconverged infrastructure, storage clustering, and space-constrained datacenters. Providing 18 ports of 10G/25G SFP28 and 4 ports of 40G/100G QSFP28, the SN2010 allows two switches to be mounted side-by-side in a single 1U rack slot for complete high-availability switching redundancy. Operating with Onyx, Cumulus Linux, or SONiC, the SN2010 is traded extensively by secondary brokers for Nutanix and VMware vSAN deployments.

Works together

How the NVIDIA Spectrum SN2010 connects to servers, storage and the network: 3 ways, with the parts and products on each path.

iSCSI and NVMe/TCP over Ethernet

Keep the speed the same at all three points: a 25GbE server, a 25GbE switch port and a 25GbE array port. Mixed speeds work but the slowest link sets the pace.

File storage (NFS and SMB)

Front-end ports face the clients; back-end ports (on scale-out systems) connect the nodes to each other and need their own switch pair.

Hyperconverged cluster

Plan at least two 25GbE ports per node to two switches; all-NVMe clusters often move to 100GbE.

FAQ

How can two SN2010 switches fit in a standard 1U slot?

An optional dual-switch rack mounting kit places two half-width SN2010 units side-by-side in 1U for full TOR redundancy.

Does the SN2010 support RoCE v2 for storage clustering?

Yes, hardware-accelerated RoCE v2 with Zero Packet Loss architecture is standard on the Spectrum ASIC.
